Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Two ground-up UniFi sites. A seat on the national rollout.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community needed two New York sites built from the ground up — no inherited gear, no mixed vendors, one network to own. We built both, Bronx and Queens, on a single UniFi stack from low-voltage cabling to gateway. A point-to-point wireless bridge brings the adjacent Queens building onto the same network without a second circuit, and a Verizon FiOS partnership lifted the bandwidth ceiling in a service zone that had been restricted. We now hold a seat on the organization’s Nationwide IT Advisory Board.

We ran both sites on one UniFi stack.
ShiftCTRL is the network and IT engineering firm of record for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community at its Bronx and Queens sites. Both sites are ground-up UniFi builds, single vendor end to end — low-voltage and structured cabling, enterprise cloud gateway, firewall, switches, access points, IP camera systems, and on-prem virtualized servers, designed and installed as one coherent stack.
Day-to-day IT — Linux servers, workstations, laptops, printers, telephony, AV — runs under documented standards. As the organization’s IT program scaled to a national footprint, ShiftCTRL was appointed to the Nationwide IT Advisory Board for its U.S. sites.
Two ground-up sites, plus a few notable wins.
Bronx — ground-up UniFi build, single vendor end to end.
The Bronx site was built from the ground up on a single-vendor UniFi stack: low-voltage cabling, IP security cameras, enterprise cloud gateway, firewall, switches, access points, and on-prem servers — designed, installed, configured, and handed over as one coherent system.
Queens — ground-up UniFi build, single vendor end to end.
The Queens site was built from the ground up on the same single-vendor UniFi stack: low-voltage cabling, IP security cameras, enterprise cloud gateway, firewall, switches, access points, and on-prem servers — designed, installed, and configured end to end.
Queens — point-to-point wireless bridge between two owned buildings.
The organization owns two adjacent buildings at the Queens site. A point-to-point wireless bridge unifies them on one logical network, bringing the second building online without trenching cable across the property line and without the cost of a second ISP circuit. Both buildings operate as a single coordinated site.
Verizon FiOS in a previously restricted service zone.
A direct partnership with Verizon brought high-speed fiber service into a zone that had previously been locked to DSL, lifting the bandwidth ceiling at the affected site and producing material infrastructure cost savings.
Cloud-to-on-prem virtualization on ProxMox.
Migration to virtualized on-prem environments on ProxMox materially reduced cloud-infrastructure costs with improved resource utilization and system resilience.
A seat on the U.S. national rollout.
ShiftCTRL holds a seat on the Nationwide IT Advisory Board for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the United States. The board defines the network, video, and access-control standards that govern the organization’s national footprint of community sites.
The current program standardizes the deployment of UniFi Network, UniFi Protect, and UniFi Access across U.S. sites: one centralized management model, approved hardware templates, classification of sites by size, VLAN and firewall policy, and a phased rollout that runs from a reference lab build through pilot sites to national waves.
